Data Visualization Consultant

Responsibilities

  • Understanding the business context and identifying the requirements for data visualizations and tools 
  • Gathering business requirements from internal stakeholders, or defining these yourself 
  • Working closely with  data engineers to help ensure the data format and quality in order to design and build interactive self-service dashboards and tools, that are highly engaging and meaningful to internal stakeholders 
  • Using the tools such as Power BI, SQL, Hive, Spark, others 
  • Translating large volumes of data into meaningful and appealing ways to users, that drives insights and action 
  • Defining the metrics, KPIs and data structures required to support visualizations 
  • Manipulation and extraction of large sets of data  

Requirements

  • Significant experience of working within data and analytics team to deliver data visualization tools and dashboards into a data-driven community 
  • Experience with big data platforms, data architecture and design techniques, and working with large data sets 
  • Experience in data architecture and data integration solutions 
  • In depth practical knowledge of the tools such as PowerBI, SQL, Hive, Spark 
  • Knowledge of CRM, Web Analytics, Digital Advertising, general marketing concepts and Adobe tools would be an asset 
  • Excellent communication to senior stakeholders and peers, and the ability to translate technical concepts, and their impacts on the business, to non-technical audiences 
  • Very strong communication and influencing skills 
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
