Social Value Sales SME - secondment 1

The purpose of this role is to work closely with bid teams on large and strategic deals  to architect compelling social value solutions. As the SV SME you will guide bid teams on social value best practice and be responsible for creating relevant, winning social value responses. 

 

As a senior member of the social value team your wider responsibilities will include managing the bid pipeline, leading a small team of Social Vale Sales Advisors, quality assuring Social Value bid responses, supporting the contracting and sales to delivery conversion process, managing the quality of self-service and reusable assets, and maintaining the data inputs for reporting on bids scores and influenced value. This role will be supported by the Social Value Operations Advisor and will report into the Social Value Lead.

 

The successful applicant will have experience of working on bids, ideally in the public sector or for clients in the public sector supply chain,


 

Your role

  • Communication to account teams to outline the Social Value Hub offer
  • Work across complex bids to create winning social value solutions, and write compelling bid responses which detail these solutions
  • Develop new sales support processes, for example effective processes to manage SME input
  • Support and develop the Social Value Sales Advisors
  • Own the reusable assets and the CR&S Bid Support Site SharePoint pages
  • Quality assure and review Social Value bid responses
  • Support the ideation and development of commitments relevant to specific bids / accounts
  • Manage stakeholders across bid / account teams
  • Manage risks and issues in relation to the workstream
  • Provide fortnightly progress reports to the Social Value Lead and Head of Social Value
  • Manage the workload and prioritise tasks based on deadlines
  • Support the sales to delivery handover and / or contracting process for won bids
  • Lead governance forums, such as the Social Value Delivery Steering Committee
