HR Operational Excellence Analyst

Role Summary

The HR Operational Excellence Analyst plays a critical role in driving continuous improvement, process optimization, and operational efficiency across the HR function. This role partners with HR teams, business stakeholders, and technology teams to identify opportunities for improvement, streamline processes, enhance employee experience, and leverage data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.


The successful candidate will apply operational excellence methodologies, analyze HR processes and performance metrics, support transformation initiatives, and contribute to the development of scalable, compliant, and efficient HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Analyze end-to-end HR processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across key HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, employee lifecycle management, performance management, learning, and offboarding.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, process mapping, and operational excellence methodologies to improve service delivery and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and governance frameworks.
  • Support HR transformation programs and change initiatives.

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret HR operational data to identify trends, insights, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reporting to measure HR performance and service delivery.
  • Monitor operational metrics including SLA adherence, cycle times, case management performance, and employee experience indicators.
  • Present findings and recommendations to HR leadership and business stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence, HR Business Partners, Shared Services, and technology teams to implement process improvements.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions to assess current-state processes and design future-state solutions.
  • Build strong partnerships across the organization to support operational excellence initiatives.

HR Systems & Technology Enablement

  • Partner with HRIS, Digital HR, and technology teams to optimize system utilization and automation opportunities.
  • Support implementation and enhancement of HR technologies, workflows, and self-service solutions.
  • Assist with testing, process validation, and change adoption activities for HR system updates and projects.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure HR processes comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and data privacy standards.
  • Support audit activities and process control reviews.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Experience working with HR systems such as Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with reporting and dashboarding tools - Power BI, Tableau, or similar
  • Experience documenting and improving business processes

 

Preferred

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent continuous improvement certification.
  • Experience supporting HR transformation or digital transformation programs
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall
  • Experience working in a global or matrixed organization
