Job Description - Grade Specific

The Intermediate Cloud DevOps Engineer role builds upon a foundational understanding of cloud platforms, CI/CD principles and automation, integrating more advanced software development skills and a deeper understanding of cloud environments. This role focuses on enhancing the efficiency and reliability of CI/CD processes in cloud infrastructures. Key Responsibilities and Attributes: Knowledge and Application: Possessing a good understanding of cloud computing and CI/CD methodologies, applying this knowledge to improve cloud infrastructure and deployment processes. Advanced CI/CD Management: Taking an active role in managing and optimising CI/CD pipelines, focusing on automation, scalability, and security in cloud deployments. Skill Advancement: Continuously improving technical competencies in cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) and expanding knowledge in areas such as container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), infrastructure as code (IaC), and automation techniques. Proactive Contribution: Working more independently, taking on challenging tasks and contributing to the team’s objectives. Collaborative Growth and Mentorship: Actively collaborating with peers and senior team members, seeking and providing guidance and feedback, and working to foster a team culture of continuous learning and development.
