This is a high-impact role supporting the Ellipse programme, a major initiative to migrate selected European systems to Group Standard Architecture. You will be responsible for ensuring the design and integrity of the Finance and Cross-Functions ecosystem, aligning technical solutions with enterprise-wide strategic goals.

What You’ll Do:

Enterprise & Solution Architecture:

 Define and maintain the architectural integrity of the Finance & Risk ecosystem

Align designs with strategic enterprise architecture, standards, and policies

Work closely with senior architects to ensure proper documentation and approvals

Strategic Projects & Innovation:

Support key risk and finance initiatives at the HBCE (Continental Europe) level

Focus on models, data, reporting, and new service architecture

Ensure solutions reflect the broader business needs and regulatory requirements

Technical Oversight & Delivery:

Translate vision into an implementable strategy in collaboration with architects & technologists

Ensure solutions are well-designed, scalable, and aligned with strategic direction

 Engage with Agile and Scrum delivery teams to provide architectural guidance

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, engineering teams, and senior leaders

Advocate architecture principles and articulate their value to business and technology teams

Ensure effective communication of architecture solutions to technical & non-technical audiences

What You Need to Succeed:

Strong experience working with stakeholders across multiple disciplines

Ability to define, document, and present clear, concise architectural solutions

Strong coaching & mentoring skills – act as an escalation point for project teams

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to react to a changing landscape

Proven ability to deliver in matrixed, enterprise-scale environments

Solid understanding of Agile, Scrum, and large-scale transformation projects

Strong written and verbal communication skills with business and technical acumen

Experience working as an Architect in the banking/finance sector (must-have!)
